GTCC TO HOST TWO JOB FAIRS IN APRIL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MARCH 30, 2015 JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Guilford Technical Community College will host two job fairs in April: an Advanced Manufacturing and Technical Job Fair 1-3 p.m. Friday, April 10 and a Veterans Distribution, Logistics and Transportation Job Fair 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22. Both events are free and open to the public. The Advanced Manufacturing and Technical Job Fair provides an opportunity for organizations to hire qualified applicants in the following fields: • Advanced Manufacturing, CNC Machining and Architectural Technology • Assembly, Maintenance Technicians, Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) • Engineering Technologies (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) and Welding • Geomatics/Surveying, Construction, Landscaping, Telecommunications and HVAC This is the second year GTCC is hosting the event. Last year approximately 250 job seekers met with 35 employers. GTCC is partnering with the North Carolina Center for Global Logistics to host the college’s first Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Job Fair exclusive to veterans. The fair will showcase companies that are actively hiring veterans in the transportation, distribution and logistics industries. Funding for the event was provided through a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro.
